yes but in that case the sgml application needs to decide what to do
with the sdata entity. Do you claim that it shouldn't be a combining
character?

(I ask because by coincidence this very same entity came up on the
W3C Math internal mailing list earlier this week as it is one of the
four remaining MathML enities that resolve to combing characters
(because I couldn't find a non combing equivalent).
