Hi there

JATS4R is convening a subgroup to define a recommendation on how publishers
should tag peer review materials they publish (be this reviewer/referee
reports, decisions letters, rebuttals, author responses etc) in a
consistent way. This is a developing area in the publishing world and so
JATS4R is ideally placed to try to set some consistency across publishers
before the wild west sets in!

There is a grounding for this work already, which is the output of a
meeting of publishers and interested parties in London in July 2018 and a
resultant publication in October 2018 in F1000Research
<https://f1000research.com/articles/7-1655/v1>.

It will be a short-term subgroup on this focussed topic only and the
participation requirement will be set by the members once the group is
formed.

Please note, the deliberate omission of the word Open from the definition -
this group will focus on the tagging and not be planning to debate what the
term open refers to!

Please contact me, Melissa Harrison (m.harrison@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx) or
info@xxxxxxxxxx if you would be interested in participating in this group.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Melissa
