I don't remember if it was explicitly included in the presentation at JATS-Con
but I know it's in Vincent's paper-we're planning on getting rid of the
trans-* elements (for various reasons). So any solution we come up with should
avoid all of those elements.

HI,On the face of it, I agree with Nikos about the inelegance of the
<named-content> approach. A <title> can appear in one or zero times in

So it would have a large impact to change its occurrence to zero or more..
.
I guess I missed why the existing <trans-title-group> is not a solution that
suffices for the translations. Is it that it makes an explicit "main" language
and all others are secondary in the processing (ie. need a different path for
their content to be rendered in output?

Would it make sense to permit the <trans-title-group> in more places than it
occurs now, which is
<journal-title-group><https://jats.nlm.nih.gov/archiving/tag-library/1.0/n-5p
70.html>,
<title-group><https://jats.nlm.nih.gov/archiving/tag-library/1.0/n-rjb0.html>
? or perhaps "promote" <trans-title> to be usable as a sibling to <title>
wherever <title> is permitted?
