Hi everyone

NISO released JATS version 1.4 yesterday. One of the big updates is the
ability to model multilingual documents. That is, articles that include
substantial portions of text in two or more languages.

The standard is available here:
https://groups.niso.org/higherlogic/ws/public/download/31415/ANSI-NISO-z39.96
-2024.pdf

The non-normative supporting materials including the version 1.4 Tag Libraries
and the schema files are available in the places you expect on
https://jats.nlm.nih.gov
