Congratulations! Regularly publishing multilingual materials we are happy to see the advent of the new attributes. It will surely require some work to iron out the 'trans-' prefixes though, and it remains to be seen how long the publishing partners will take to start accepting this version. My favorite and most needed addition is the @xml:lang attribute on markup elements which enables one to simply state that the relevant part of text is, for instance, in italics because it is in a certain language, rather than concocting more semantics than the average tagging operator has at hand. Is there any hopes for a swift upgrade of the BITS standard to align it with the currently released JATS green version?
