Congratulations!
Regularly publishing multilingual materials we are happy to see the 
advent of the new attributes. It will surely require some work to iron 
out the 'trans-' prefixes though, and it remains to be seen how long the 
publishing partners will take to start accepting this version.

My favorite and most needed addition is the @xml:lang attribute on 
markup elements which enables one to simply state that the relevant part 
of text is, for instance, in italics because it is in a certain 
language, rather than concocting more semantics than the average tagging 
operator has at hand.

Is there any hopes for a swift upgrade of the BITS standard to align it 
with the currently released JATS green version?
