Today I'm announcing version 1.0.0 of <PubNote>, a suite of open-source XML
tools from R\xE9alta Online Publishing Services Ltd. for biomedical research
metadata exposition and future creation. This is to support publishers and
researchers using XML files with the international OLSPub from ZB Med (the
German Medical Library) and the US-based PubMed:

thub.com/realtaonline/PubNote?tab=readme-ov-file#readme

Or this for short: <https://bit.ly/ro-pubnote>https://bit.ly/ro-pubnote

I'm assuming that some JATS users also are OLSPub and PubMed users, so I hope
this post is not out of context.

This is targeted to non-XML'ers who have to deal with submission and
distribution XML to and from OLSPub and PubMed. Likely they are not subscribed
to this list. Please would you forward this announcement to those you know who
have to work with this metadata.

For the XML geeks, this happens to be an open-source implementation of my
"sustainable single-source publishing" model I described in my JATS-Con 2023
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK591971/ paper.

This is the original LinkedIn post and commentary regarding the release of
<PubNote>:

Questions are welcome, but probably should be sent off of the list.

I hope the community finds this useful!

. . . . . . . Ken
