Subject: ADMINISTRIVIA: Message subject prefixes

In the expectation that there will be a lot of discussion of the new
XSL Working Draft on the XSL-List, I propose a system of prefixes for
use in the subject lines of messages as a shorthand to indicate which
part of the WD you are discussing. The prefix and the "real" subject
of your message should be separated by " : " as in the following

Please use these prefixes wherever possible: it will make life easier
for your fellow subscribers, and it will also make life easier for
people searching the archive.

SECTION NUMBERS - Use the section number enclosed in square brackets:

Subject: [3.16.7] : Are crayon drawings supported?

ISSUES - Use "Issue" and the issue name as it appears in the WD:

Subject: Issue(pattern-pi-target) : Should match on PIs

XSL ELEMENTS - Use the "xsl:" prefix and the XSL defined element name:

Subject: xsl:stylesheet : "stylesheet" should be hyphenated

FLOW OBJECTS - Use the "fo:" prefix and the flow object name:

   Subject: fo:graphic : Handling 3D?

PROPERTIES - Use the property name, even if it isn't really much of a

   Subject: block-justification-letterspace-max-remove : Negative lengths?

Please do not cross-post between the XSL-List and another list.

Please do not quote entire messages just to add a few lines at the
end. Instead, quote the parts to which you are directly replying or
quote enough to establish the context.

Everybody on the list has already received the message that you are
quoting, and anyone searching the archive will find your message and
the previous message listed under the same thread.
