Subject: XSL Usability From: Paul Prescod <papresco@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 27 Aug 1998 15:05:46 -0400 (EDT) |
I just taught my first (pseudo-)class on the new XSL. It was actually quite fun, because the new XSL is a really great application of the 80/20 rule. It anticipates everything we need for relatively simple processing. I think that the new query syntax is phenomenally intuitive and the fact that the same syntax can be used in selections and matches (and hopefully, eventually, XPointers) is a real win. My impression is that this specification is likely to be a runaway hit with any group that has to do XML processing. Good work!
