Subject: Resolving ENTITY attributes From: Richard Light <richard@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Thu, 29 Apr 1999 11:45:00 +0100 |
Reading the XSLT spec, I don't see a way of resolving ENTITY-type attribute values. If I am using XSLT to produce HTML from my XML source, one obvious transformation is to convert ENTITY attribute values to strings containing the actual URL of the target. Thus I would want to render the <xmlimg> element in e.g. (where the src attribute is of type ENTITY): <!DOCTYPE xmldoc ... [ <!ENTITY img1 SYSTEM "image1.gif" NDATA gif> ... ]> <xmldoc> ... <xmlimg src="img1"/> ... </xmldoc> as: <IMG SRC="image1.gif"> in the resulting HTML. Is there a way to do this? If not, I think there should be. Richard Light. Richard Light SGML/XML and Museum Information Consultancy richard@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
