You probably want: /interAgency/conRec[contactID=$newcontactID]/file/@href But you need to be careful here - links to local files will only work on your own computer (and should be prefixed with file://). If you need to refer to files you'll need to put them inside your webserver's home directory, then make the reference relative to the server's root directory. > -----Original Message----- > From: Tanzila Mohammad [mailto:tmohammad@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] > Sent: Wednesday, April 25, 2001 4:08 PM > To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [xsl] ahref > > > Hello > > My xml is as follows: > <interAgency> > <conRec> > <contactID>1</contactID> > <file href="C:/MyDocuments.ma.doc">File.doc</file> > <conRec> > </interAgency> > > xsl: > The parameter is set at the start of sheet. > --- > <td colspan="3" width="363"> > <font face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif" > color="#000000" size="1"> > <a> > <xsl:attribute name="href"><xsl:value-of > select="/interAgency/conRec[contactID= > $newcontactID]/file"/></xsl:attribute> > <xsl:value-of > select="/interAgency/conRec[contactID=$newcontactID]/file"/> > </a> > </font> > </td> > </tr> > ---- > > Output: > Does not give me the link to "C:/MyDocuments.ma.doc" - the > link is actually > to a File.doc file within a folder which contains my xsl, xml files > > Can Someone help? > > Tanz > > > > XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list > XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
