Subject: Re: [xsl] How to sort a nodeset referenced by a variable? From: David Carlisle <davidc@xxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 3 Jul 2001 23:06:05 +0100 |
> I am doing something like this > > <xsl:variable name="filterdNode" select="//*" /> are you _sure_ you want to do that? It's an exceptionally expensive and strange thing to do. If you mean to just select the original document in its original order you want select="/". > But the node set is not getting sorted. A node set, being a set, doesn't have an order so it is never sorted or unsorted, however the node set you have built has just one member, a root note. The child of that root node is all the elements you selected in the order specified.
