I would expect this to cause errors in older browsers that do ot understand the src="" attribute of the <script> tag, as they will try to evaluate the nbsp's as javascript code. A more suitable "placeholder" would be <script src="">//</script> since // is a comment symbol in JS. but as mentioned before, output method="html" is more likely the way to go. > > I am using the following as a workaround: > I defined an entity reference for "nbsp" at the top of the XSL. > > And then used that reference to add a space element between > "<script>" and > it's closing "</script>" tag. > > <script language="javascript1.2" type="text/javascript" > src="../../../scripts/javascript/rollover.js"> > </script> > > Is this the way to go? > Thanks > > >Here is the question. > >When i do a transformation, my parser (Xalan)is changing following > >javascript line > > > ><script language="javascript1.2" type="text/javascript" > >src="../../../scripts/javascript/rollover.js"></script> > >to > ><script language="javascript1.2" type="text/javascript" > >src="../../../scripts/javascript/rollover.js"/> > >While this usually poses no problem Netscape doesn't > understand the self > >enclosing version of the script tag and will not render my page > >Any suggestions? > > > >Lou > > > >_________________________________________________________________ > >Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com > > > > > >XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list > > > > > _________________________________________________________________ > Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp.
