Thanks, David. Sorry for not checking the spec before asking. But you meant @*|node() instead of /|node()? The last causes exceptions (at least in Xalan). The former is what I have found in the xslt spec. A doubt: because <!DOCTYPE declarations do not follow XML syntax, they can't be copied by this stylesheet and are really thrown away always.
