As I see it ...

Here are some pros:
  1. DEBUGGING SUPPORT!! :)
  2. Intellisense.
  3. Uses external parser that you define.
  4. Very configurable environment.
  5. Price.
  6. Project/Workspace support.
  7. Nice printing support for xml/xsl documents.
  8. Supports custom snippet/template libraries.
  9. Some simple wizard.

Here are some cons:
  1. You can't debug into xsl:include and xsl:import elements ...
but, they actively addressing this capability. This is a
huge benefit for those that are implementing xslt
frameworks. I don't know how deep the referencing will go,
but even a depth of one level will be great.
  2. It has some quirky keyboard shortcuts (at least for Microsofties).
The classic is block indent/un-indent, which is heavily used for
      xml/xsl editing ... it's not tab/shift+tab, it's
shift+ctl+i/shift+ctl+u.
but, they are going to (I believe in the next release) add a
keyboard shortcut-key mapping capability to their "Editor Options".

FYI:
XML Spy does NOT support debugging xslt stylesheets, in fact here's the
lame excuse their Technical Support Engineer gave me when I asked them about
it:

"Currently we do not provide debugging features because we rely on
external transformation engines. As soon as the respective producers of
these transformation engines provide an interface that Spy can interact
with, it will be possible to provide such features."

Any comment will be most welcome.
