But your nested XML is double-escaped, that is the "<" is represented not as "<" but as "&lt;". So you'll have to put it through two transformations, each of which removes one layer of escaping by using d-o-e. This is really bad news, and one really must question why such an extraordinary data representation was chosen in the first place.
