If you fix some typo's it works fine <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> <xsl:template match="/"> <html> <body> <script language="Javascript"> <![CDATA[ if ( 1 > 1 ) { document.write("passed") } else { document.write("failed") } ]]> </script> </body> </html> ... .. .... ... </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> Produces failed ... .. .... ... You will get the error Expected ')' with the old version. The easiest way around that is to put the script into an external .js file. Ciao Chris IE6 uses msxml2 v3.0 not msxml2 v4.0 XML/XSL Portal http://www.bayes.co.uk/xml > -----Original Message----- > From: owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx > [mailto:owner-xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Simon Choy > Sent: 07 May 2002 20:39 > To: 'xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx' > Subject: RE: [xsl] question about javascript and XSL > > > thank you all > > I must be doing something retarded then > > this is the XSL file "test.xsl" > > > <xsl:stylesheet version="1.0" > xmlns:xsl="xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"> > <xsl:template match="/"> > <html> > <body> > <script language="Javascript"> > <![CDATA[ > if ( 1 < 1 ) > { > document.write("passed") > } > else > { > document.write("failed") > } > ]]> > </script> > </body> > </html> > ... > .. > .... > ... > > </xsl:template> > </xsl:stylesheet> > > > > AND this is the XML file member.xml > > <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1" ?> > <?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="test.xsl"?> > > <Member> > <blah> > </blah> > </Member> > > > when i want to load this file > I just load up my browser and type in > http://blahblah/member.xml > > i am probably doing something extrememly retarded, but it > still does not > work > > thank you all > > XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list > > XSL-List info and archive: http://www.mulberrytech.com/xsl/xsl-list
