About 10% of the projects I have used xslt in have been for presentation. XSLT, to me, has nothing to do with presentation per se. I use it to take XML and change its form to whatever is needed. I think there are 2 rather distinct forms of XML - data centric and document centric - and XSLT can transform both kinds. I think you would be doing yourself a disservice to think that XSLT is somehow tied at the hip with presentation. It may have started that way, but I am not sure that is the future of the language.
