Those 3D's are just caused by the vagaries of some email handling systems.

In yout desired output, was this intendend: <category name=3D"cat 1">


I'm assuming it was and that you already know that your attribute values
need to be contained in quotes... every last bit of it.

it out real quick, just in case.

</category>
</doc>

how should i go about this?
