It was especially difficult in this case as that language went along
with their "wd-xsl" preview of XSLT and _predated_ the spec.
Even Microsoft can't be castigated for not having built a time machine.

Having a test implemtation rather loosely based on a draft spec isn't
such a bad thing. Installing it as a standard component in the most
widely installed operating system on the planet was probably a bad idea
(but I think MS have since recognised that)
