We want to leave them in but not have them closed. There are also a few niggling cases where it messes things up a little to even have whitespace in these tags, but we might be able to work around those and do something like put in <xsl:text> </xsl:text> in all these cases. As I said, I'd rather not, but so far it's sounding like this might be our only bet. Yeah, if we were using our company's CMS this wouldn't be a problem. We do a fair amount of work outside of it for one reason or another, as our client's needs demand, and are trying to live up to the copy you cite in these cases as well. -- jonah -----Original Message----- From: Robert Koberg [mailto:rob@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Wednesday, April 06, 2005 11:06 AM To: xsl-list@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: [xsl] XSLT for usable yet valid XHTML Do you want to strip emtpy elements (that are not supposed to be empty) or do you want to leave them in but not have them closed? You could just use your company's CMS... "The advantages of Axiom's superior coding Does your website meet federal section 508 accessibility requirements?
