according to

it uses xalan (with xerces as the parser)

so you can chain stylesheets like so, as xalan supports the node-set function.

first make sure that _every_ template in each stylesheet is declared and
called using a mode then make a stylesheet that imports your two main
stylesheets, do your first pass into a varable, then use the node set
extension function and apply the templates in the second mode to the
variable

  <xsl:apply-templates mode="pass1"/>
</xsl:variable>
<xsl:apply-templates mode="pass2" select="exslt:node-set($pass1)/node()"/>
</xsl:template>
