best to say of you want xslt1 or 2.
in 2
key('ParentKey',@id) except .
will return all category elements with the current id except the current
node.
in 1 you'd write it as
key('ParentKey',@id)[not(generate-id()=generate-id(current()))]

key('ParentKey',@id) intersect ancestor::category
