With the given (sketchy) specification it would be difficult with
*any* technology. How is the end of the "name of the subject" defined?
How many roles are there? Is it guaranteed that no role name occurs in
the "Text text text" preceding the actual role? Is matching to be done
heeding case? Etc., etc.

roles. First comes the role, second the name of the subject. The subject and
its role may be surounded by other text. What I need to do is to extract the
name of the subject which comes after the name of the role.

inclined to the second option, but would like to hear you opinion).
