I call it like this.
<xsl:call-template name="customer"/>

and its output is:
<span xmlns="" id="">{@firstName}</span>&nbsp;<span xmlns=""
id="">{@lastName}</span>, <span xmlns="" id="">{@city}</span>

Any ideas?
