Can you explain with some sample XML input and the corresponding output 
what "to tag the entities" means?
And tell us whether you use XSLT 2.0 or 1.0 as operating on pure text 
like commas is much easier in 2.0 with analyze-string and regular 
expression support. Also 2.0 has character maps.
