If support for XSLT 1.0 goes away the user is faced with a

Is anybody actively maintaining an XSLT 1.0 processor?

xsltproc & libxml still get patches.

I count five libxslt issues and merge requests closed just four days ago:

libxslt 1.1.34 was released at the end of October 2019. Not entirely
recent, but more recent than most would have predicted.
