Subject: liability of college? From: "Jenkins, Paul" <Paul_Jenkins@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Tue, 5 Nov 2002 14:59:42 -0500 |
My boss asked me the following question: since our institution (a private college) has an ISP's responsibilities, are we liable if our students are caught downloading illegal mp3s on the laptops we require for use under our "universal computing requirement"? (That is, students are required to purchase--actually lease one with $400 cost per semester--a laptop from the college upon entrance.) Thanks for any help you can provide, Paul O.
