CBS refuses Gateway ad over Web address

" The CBS television network has told computer maker Gateway Inc. that
it won't air a new Gateway commercial about using computers to make
digital music recordings. The decision stemmed from objections not to
the images or words in the commercial but to an Internet address flashed
on the screen, the network said. "

" The Copyright Office of the Library of Congress has announced the
dates and locations of its public hearings in California in its
rulemaking on the possible exemptions to the prohibition against
circumvention of technological measures that control access to
copyrighted works. The hearings will take place at the UCLA Law School
in Los Angeles, Calif., on Wednesday, May 14, and Thursday, May 15, from
9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. These hearings are in addition to the previously
announced hearings that will be conducted in Washington, D.C., on April
11, April 15, April 30, and May 2. "

Norway Teen to Be Retried in DVD Piracy Case

exploits made him a hero to hackers worldwide, his attorney said on
