Subject: Archiving / storing / sharing newspaper clips From: Pam Orel <porel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 11 Feb 2005 17:02:16 -0500 |
Hi all, Are there resources out there that clearly spell out how and when newspaper clips can be stored/shared/archived digitally? I work in a department that is looking into better ways to share news clips about our university with various constituencies. While I've seen tons of stuff on digital file sharing (driven by music/film industries that have a lot of cash on the line) I have seen almost nothing that would give me a better understanding of the rules governing copying, storing and sharing of newspaper and magazine excerpts. Absent of court decisions or known industry common practices, I'd welcome info from others who have dealt with similar issues. All leads appreciated, Pam Orel Promotions Specialist Rutgers Media Relations Rutgers University New Brunswick NJ USA 732.932.7084 e 614 porel@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx [***** removed an attachment of type text/x-vcard which had a name of porel.vcf]
