The Center for Intellectual Property invites presentation proposals for
the 2012 CIP Symposium, "Adventures in Copyright: Navigating Your Way
Through Intellectual Property!" June 6-8, 2012.

Submissions are encouraged from practitioners and experts for sessions
lasting 50-90 minutes. Presentations may consist of individual
presentations, case studies, research reports, panel discussions, or
other presentation formats.

Submit your presentation proposal for one of these three tracks:

1. Conquering Legal Issues in Copyright: This track will provide a
practical foundation for understanding the latest legal issues as they
pertain to copyright and intellectual property (case) law, policies and

2. Technology Expeditions in Copyright: This topic area is designed for
discussions and presentations that focus on advances in emerging
technologies, how they are changing copyright, and concerns for
information managers and scholars. Learn more at

3. Trekking through the Copyright Profession: This track is designed for
presentations related to improving copyright education on your campus
and identifying available resources to help you survive in the IP jungle
and become a better information manager. Get more details at

All submissions should include:
-- Your name, contact information, and job title.
-- Title and description of your presentation, no more than 200 words in
length.
-- Explanation of how your presentation is relevant to the Symposium and
those attending.
-- Format of presentation.

Submissions will be reviewed by the program committee. Successful
candidates are required to attend the conference and will receive a 10%
discount on Symposium registration fees. Submissions are due by October
31, 2011.
