Classic Community Conversation with Rashmi Rangnath, LLM - Emerging Issues
in Global IPM

Speaker Bio: Prior to joining Public Knowledge as a Staff Attorney and
Director of PK's Global Knowledge Initiative, Rashmi Rangnath was a part
time Law Clerk for special projects as well as a student Intern, working
on copyright and patent law issues. Ms. Rangnath has also worked at the
Association of Research Libraries as a student intern, where she mainly
worked on the orphan works project.

Speaker Bio: Brandon Butler is the Director of Public Policy Initiatives
at the Association of Research Libraries (ARL), a group of 126 major
academic and research libraries in North America. His responsibilities
there include analysis and advocacy regarding copyright, privacy and
surveillance, free expression, and telecommunications.


Faculty Focused Community Conversation with Enoch Peavey, JD Unraveling
the AIA & its Impact on Tech Transfer
When: Thursday, May 23, 2013; 4:00 pm eastern
Guest Speaker Bio:  Enoch E. Peavey joined Greenblum and Bernstein, PLC in
2005.  Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Peavey served at the U.S. Patent and
Trademark Office as a Primary Examiner, where he was responsible for
examining patent applications related to mechanical seals.  Mr. Peavey
also interned at the International Trade Commission in the Office of
Unfair Import Investigations in 2004. His practice areas include;
preparing and prosecuting patent applications as a member of the firm's
patent procurement practice group.
