Subject: [stella] Final thought.... From: Nick S Bensema <nickb@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Sat, 8 Mar 1997 03:17:03 -0700 (MST) |
Before I go to sleep, as I should have hours ago...... In 1977, a color/B&W switch was a nice thought to those who didn't have a color set. But today, just about everyone has a color set, so the B&W switch isn't quite as useful anymore. I suggest that we turn the B&W switch into a PAL/NTSC switch, if we even use it at all. It might supercede the need for separate versions. One programming text I have says that to avoid timing problems, movement should be calculated through fractional tables and such things, "to avoid major surgery" when converting to PAL. A game with a pal/NTSC switch would need two such tables. -- To unsubscribe, send the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the body of a message to stella-request@xxxxxxxxxxx
