Well, after some more trial and error, I found that using the Windows Sound Recorder to play the .wavs works (even with a download going in the background) *if* I selected Decrease Volume from the Effects menu once before playing it. Normal loads work 90% of the time, and fast loads work on more than half my attempts.. thanks to whoever it was that said the Supercharger was finicky about levels. Strangely, this only worked if I decreased the volume of the wave.. if I lowered either wave output or overall output in the Windows mixer, I ran into the same problems as before. Bob, you want to add a "reduced-volume" option to makewav for people like me? =) Unrelated note: I can't figure out how to detect the joystick button on a real console (though whatever I do works fine on PC Atari)... If bit 6 of VBLANK is zero, the processor reads the joystick triggers directly on bit 7 of INPT4 and INPT5 with no latching, right? Also, the Okie Dokie source does some strange things, like writing 4 to VBLANK.. that sets bit D2 of VBLANK, which is supposed to be unused. -- Archives available at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archives/ E-mail UNSUBSCRIBE in the body to stella-request@xxxxxxxxxxx to be removed.
