I went to play a game of Super Breakout... popped the cartridge in and selected over to game 7 (progressive) like I always do. As I was picking up the paddle, I bumped the 2600 accidentally. Somehow, it appears that I bumped the position of the side walls right one pixel each - at each scanline of blocks, there's one pixel sticking out to the left of the wall, and it looks as if there's a one-pixel gap between the rightmost brick and the right side wall! I started playing anyway. When I select to another game, the same behavior stays in place. Wish I had a camera here. Didn't know you could move sprite positions by bumping the Atari. (It's a post-ultra-heavy 6-switch deck.) Also gives a little insight into how Super Breakout works - it positions the side walls upon powerup and never again. Also, the ball was bouncing off where the side walls should have been rather than where they were displayed - it uses coordinates rather than collision registers for side wall bounces. Not that I have a point or anything, but this was pretty weird :) -- Archives (includes files) at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archives/ Unsub & more at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/
