I've made a "proper" port of Bob's makewav 3.1 to the Macintosh as a FAT MPW
Tool. I added "snd " file generation to it as well in the process of making it
work... [it still generates .wavs if you wish, there are two new options to
makewav I've added - just run the command without options for help].
Anyhow... source, buildscript, and compiled MPW Tool are available at:

I haven't done a commando UI for it yet - it's still steaming out of my
compiler, though I did validate its output against Bob's DOS tools in the 22k/
44k modes. [snd and .wav formats].
It's also 100% perfectly compilable and runnable under Intel Linux as well....
though non-Macintosh-based "snd " file generation uses an older "format 0" which
probably isn't worth having in there.
