Subject: [stella] RAM carts? From: Mark De Smet <de-smet@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Fri, 18 Feb 2000 22:05:41 -0600 (CST) |
Hello, I've returned to the world, well mostly. I've had a lot of changes
in my life so I have been unable to keep up with the list for the last 4
months. (sorry about the last email, it wasn't supposed to go to the
list) Anyway...
When reading through the archives, I saw a couple messages hinting at some
RAM cart projects. If I recall, by Lee, Eckhard and John S(is this
correct?). I've been devising one for a while, but have not had enough
time until now to seriously work on it.
What I would like to do is get in touch with the other people who are
working on a RAM type cartridge. I ask because I don't want to bother
working on something that will be 'already done' by the time I'm done. I
mean, I agree that it would be fun to make just on it's own, but it would
be disapointing to get a long way into it, and find out someone else has
already made a really good one.
I'm aware of two simple 4k 2600 versions that have been around for a
while, one that plugs into a base unit to program, and another that just
plugs into a parallel port('happy cart'?), but I am asking about more
complex versions such as 7800, or bankswitched versions.
So, is anyone else out there working on creating a RAM type cart?
Mark
On a side note, if there is anyone else out there who wants to work on
vhdl design, or can manufacture PCB's(with small enough traces for a
TQFP), please let me know!
