[stella] POKEY sound editor?

I have been experimenting with programming the POKEY chip inside my
7800 Ballblazer cart, and now I was wondering if there was a popular
sound editor for the 8bit computer line? Does anyone know where I
could find a discription of the file format for such a program plus
some example files?
