Actually, that's the idea for the online version, only it would be free. To stagger the game releases in order to get repeat visits, which means more ad impressions. Editorialize each release so it's like an event that keeps people coming back for more like a subscription service. It's not the ROM image that would be released each time, but the entire package of manual, history, etc...


If it were done this way, you could have a year or more of "issues" in the 2600 catalog.
