Subject: Re: [stella] More complicated differences between 6502 and 6507? From: Oliver Achten <achten@xxxxxx> Date: Mon, 15 Oct 2001 20:55:32 +0200 (MEST) |
Hi! First, i´d like to thank everyone so much for tracking down the problem! :-) The next question is how i should start to continue. For now i see three different ways: -Leave the Hardware as ist is and live with the problem (against my design goal to achieve 100% compatiblity) -Cutting and rewire the A12 Adress line from the cartridge connector, disabling the need for the LS245 (against my design goal to do this without modifying the pcb of the VCS) -Designing a complete new PCB for the ATARI (like Bankzilla! Well, sort of... ;-) SInce I created this hardware with the possibility in mind that everyone can rebuild it, i ask you all how to think about it, since it has much potential in it, and i want to release it, when it is 100% finished.(i´m using the NMI line of the 6502 to stop a program. Could be used for some kind of a debugger, or Action Replay) Regards Oliver -- GMX - Die Kommunikationsplattform im Internet. http://www.gmx.net - Archives (includes files) at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/archives/ Unsub & more at http://www.biglist.com/lists/stella/
