Subject: [stella] Starfire 2600: Enemy Mine :-) From: Manuel Polik <cybergoth@xxxxxxxx> Date: Sat, 23 Feb 2002 18:10:47 +0100 |
Hi there! Since I didn't waste any time with VDEL experiments today :-) , I managed to add two Tie-Fighters, both able to move flawlessly anywhere on the screen, without any restriction! In this current BIN snapshot, both Tie-Fighters can be moved with joysticks. No diagonals & only one at the time - this is testing code only. (Of course you won't be able to control your enemies later in the game :-)) Another good news is, that I managed to give the crosshair a color totally independent from all other objects onscreen! So far for the good news, here's the bad one: There's not a single cycle left in the kernel... I've some ideas to fire the ships laser without kernel cycles, you'll see soon if it worked out or not :-) With most other things I'm very happy. RAM usage is fine, I've currently more than 70 bytes left and I'm using some ~800 bytes ROM only. Greetings, Manuel
