I'd like to see a poll on this because my theory is that the vast majority of those likely to purchase a homebrew are die-hard enough to have either a SC or a CC. I also think it's a chicken and the egg thing. If there were a steady stream of SC-only games coming out, more end-user type classic gamers might finally add it to their collection.

I think RAM-based cartridges are a much better solution, although more
expensive from a production standpoint.

To date there are no RAM-based cartridges out there that provide all the capabilities of the Supercharger. No banking schemes with RAM on the cart provide as much of the available address space for RAM as the Supercharger does.

I would never compromise my game just to put in on a cart if it really demanded SC RAM and/or multiloads.

I think a Boulderdash or Lode Runner type game would fall under that category.
