Even better if the player can choose to make a cheat permanent or not - A permanent cheat remains after the console is turned off, otherwise the game returns to the "normal" state. Maybe the option to copy a game in the MMC and then cheat the copy (Change the name to, say SPACE INVADERS ABCDXYEF or allow the player to edit the game name). So you could have several different versions of a game in the MMC, each with different cheats without having to reprogram the MMC...
