[Virtools] Particle Sprites and Multi-Slot Textures?



Using Particle Systems,
and trying to make use of changing particle textures.

>From the Html Docs:
  Texture			Texture (or Texture Suite) of the Particle
  Initial Texture		The initial Texture Slot of the Particle
  Initial Texture Variance	Modification of the preceding parameter, +/- its value
  Ending Texture		The ending Texture Slot of the Particle
  Ending Texture Variance	Modification of the preceding parameter, +/- its value

I have a multi-slot texture set up.
"Particle Setting > Evolutions > Texture" is checked on.

Evolutions for color and size work.
Texture evolution doesn't seem to work,
no matter what settings I've given the initial/ending texture parameters.

The particle takes on the appearance of the current slot of the multi-slot texture;
with no variation during the particle's life.

I can animate the multi-slot texture with the Movie Player block,
and this does cause the particle texture to change;
but then *all* the particles get the same texture at the same time.

I suspect this is simply a feature which doesn't work;
can someone tell me differently?

Or offer confirmation?
