[Virtools] New Forums for the Swap-Meet and Navidad-B virus- Do not launch EXE or VBS mail attachments!

Dear VUG,

First the good news:

The ancient Swap Meet forums are being replaced by a standard Bulletin Board
system Monday Feb 5th. You can get a preview at this URL:

If you have forum recommendation or would be interested in being a forum
moderator (labelled as a Guru :), please let me know.



Now, I am saddened to report that a virus was sent as an attachment
yesterday:

"Antigen for Exchange found Emanuel.exe infected with W32/Navidad-B virus.
The file is currently Deleted.  The message, "[Virtools] please HELP!
ShortCut Creation Question.", was
sent from Aydin&Tuti  and was discovered in IMC Queues\Inbound
located at Tech Data Corporation/Marne/TDFRMARCONN03."

Please delete the mail from your system.

The offending party has been removed from the list, but this is a good time
to restate the obvious:
- if it's not a cmo, nmo, gif or jpg, it's got no place as an attachment in
this mailing list, and you should be weary....
- attachments may be disabled if such abuse continues.
