Re: [Virtools] lighting in Creation vs. Players

It doesn't matter whether using the opengl or direct3d engines or
authoring with one/ playing with the other. I also tried copying the
render engine files themselves from Creations installation to the
players installation. No difference.

It is simple to see:
Put a grey cube in a scene.
Place a point light near one corner and adjust so the far
area of the cube is nearly black, but not quite.
Save the cmo and load it into the player.
The cube will be _much_ lighter grey in the areas that were
dark before.

I've tried reducing the levels of my lights to compensate, but it
doesn't work because everything is equally darker in the player, but
with the same brighter ambient level in the 'shadow' areas.

I've gotten a very nicely lit scene within Creation, and the nice lighting
effects are mostly lost when loaded into the player.
