I have been working with games for the last 7 years. I worked at Shiny Entertainment on titles like Messiah, Wild9 and Sacrifice.
Every developer tries to create their own ultimate 3D engine and their specific tools for each game. All the games I worked on had their own engine and their own tools, but none of them was as well developed and as versatile as Virtools is. I could never have developed the things I'm creating now with any other tool(check out the upcoming Edge magazine and you'll see screenshots).
The things you can do with Virtools are far more advanced than anything I have seen in Director.
Yes, I'm sure that Director has better support and a bigger user group, but I need quality and the latest technology. Virtools has everything and more than I have seen in the most High-Tec 3D games engines, plus it's super easy to work with.
