[Virtools] Switching off the lights

Any one got any ideas for this.  I am creating a scene with a building.  I
have exported a sunlight sytem from Max to light the outside of the
building, but I dont want it to light the inside.  So I pu the light in a
new 'place', which using the portal system is hidden when I am inside the
building, but it doesn't switch off.  The other items in this place are
hidden but not the light??

Any helpfull ideas will be gratefully received.
