Re: [Virtools] Multi Mesh Morpher

Hi Cris,

this sounds very interesting. Unfortunately, I could not open the movie you attached. Which codec did you use?
Are you making these modified Morpher Building Blocks available?

I was browsing through your Website. Unfortunately, my Polish isn't that good but I could see that you are working with all kinds of Mocap. How is the market in Poland for these systems?

Just curious, Volker

Hi :)

sorry that my info is nof perfect but I'm from poland and my english is terrible .. I prefer computer languages :)

morphers works under Virtools ... I create very fast system with :

1. Relative Target MultiMeshMorpher
2. Relative Subtarget MultiMeshMorpher
3. Face Tracker Morpher
4. Skin Morpher

morphers are very fast because functions calculate only this part of target mesh which differs from base mesh

standard MMM and this one from Araya is not optimized and works very slow with for example 60 targets ... my morphers works without any problems with hundreds targets ... and now I works on system for multicomputer meshmorpher solver

everything for realtime character animation with motion capture stuff

I have website but in my polish language :)

regards

HI :)

Virtools hasn't professional mesh morphers so i build new system for facial face animation with mesh targets and face trackers ... look at pictures ... it works perfectly :))

Subject: [Virtools] Multi Mesh Morpher

Good Day,

I'm trying to animate a characters facial expressions by using different moph targets (meshes). I realized that the multi mesh morpher does not provide the functionality I expected. I guessed that this BB would work similar to the morpher functionality found in common 3D packaged like Max.

Imagine you have three meshes:
- a neutral mesh with the mouth closed and the eyes open
- a ahh mesh with an opened mouth (eyes open)
- a mesh with the eyes closed (mouth also closed)

The Multi Mesh Morpher does not allow me to have a combination of both targets with an 100% opened mouth and 100% eyes closed. In this constellation with three meshes, I am only able to mix a maximum of 1/3 from each of the targets at the same time. Why? Ideally I would want to mix up to 100% from any number meshs.

Any ideas?

Is there a new BB on the way that solves this problem?

v.
