Hi everyone,
Perhaps someone here can help me out
here, I'm trying to build a dynamic replay system,
The animation recorder screams out for
such a thing, however I want not one long animation,
but a sequence of short
replays.
So I trigger the recording when
certain criteria are met, so in a motorcycle game, I trigger an animation
once the bike is pointing skyward, then if the bike comes from the floor, the
script deems it a stunt, i then want to save the animation.. and this whenever
someone performs a stunt.
I can do this using a sequence of
recorders , which create a sequence of global animations,
however the sequence is limited to the
amount of recorders connected.
what I thought of was to rename or
either copy the recorded animation after recording has finished . so
a new animtion can be recorded by the recorder, as many times as is
required.
but I cannot copy, rename or manipulate
a global animation it seems, as it is not an object in the virtools hierarchy,,
is this correct?
if so does anyone have a thought how I
can achieve the same effect.
I'm just curious if anyone knows a work
around for this..
grtz
