Hi,

The Behaviour Server Pack, is that sold separately from the Behaviour
Server,
or does it only come with the Behaviour Server?
It seems to me that this is not a very good thing; what is the use of making
your
own BB's if you have to spend huge amounts of money just so you do not have
to annoy your web-users?
The great thing I thought about rolling your own BB's is that you could add
just
about ANY functionality by modifying & linking opensource libs.
Some ideas:
- Link with ImageMagick; on the fly reading and converting every kind of
fileformat
- Link with Ogg Vorbis decoders; 3d spatial streaming sound. Or
radiostations.
- Link with snmp; 3d overview of all your network and seeing the load of all
components in a natural way.
- Link with Prolog/Lisp to have solid AI (specially Reflisp; realtime Lisp)
- Link with Basic/Perl, any interpreted language, to get more coders
onboard.
- Link with..... just about anything.
Perhaps that is why the swapmeet hasn't really taken of; there is no point
in
getting other people's BB's unless you want to take a step back in time and
annoy your visitors with DLL hell.... :(
Too bad. But hey, it is still fun to make things with virtools, pity it only
can
be used as a form of eyecandy, not real apps, unless you spend lots of
cash.
Sorry for the rant guys, /me is just a bit disappointed...
Greets,
Adrianus Warmenhoven
